This artwork is a way to show that aside from being on my head it is just dead substance, which really doesn’t do much, except maybe go back to the cycle of life. Hairs that are cut off, mean something. It shows liveliness as it does while on the head as much it does on the ground. Yet it is dead in both states, it has been cut off and without me telling you who’s hair it is, there is no way for you to find out. It loses its identity and with it, its gender, its sexuality, as it should lose its purpose as a tool of presumption on me. So the question is “How could this mean anything more than being just hair?”
